Delete RDMs from PowerFlex Storage System

Use the procedure in this topic to delete RDMs from PowerFlex storage system.

Prerequisites

  • vCenter user must have privileges to delete disks.
  • vCenter user must have access to the PowerFlex storage system.

Steps

  1. Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
  2. Click Menu > VMs and Templates.
  3. Select the VM, click Configure > Dell VSI > Disks on Dell.
  4. To delete the RDM, click X DELETE RDM.
    The Confirm Delete RDM Disk dialog box is displayed.
    NOTE The RDM need not be the RDM that is created by VSI.
  5. Click DELETE to confirm deletion of RDM disk.
    NOTE The progress can be tracked in the Tasks tab.

Results

The selected RDM disk is successfully deleted from the VM.
