Delete NFS Datastores on PowerMax Storage system

Use the procedure in this topic to delete the NFS datastores on PowerMax storage system.

Prerequisites

  • vCenter users must have privileges to delete datastore and also have access to the datastore storage.

Steps

  1. Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
  2. Click Menu > Storage.
  3. Right-click the PowerMax NFS datastore that you want to delete, click Dell VSI > Delete Datastore & Volume.
    The Confirm Delete Datastore dialog box is displayed.

    You can also click ACTIONS > Dell VSI > Delete Datastore & Volume.

  4. Select the checkbox to confirm deletion, click DELETE.
    NOTE
    • The DELETE option is disabled if the checkbox is not selected.
    • The datastore need not be the datastore that is created by VSI.
    • The progress can be tracked in the Tasks tab.
    The selected NFS datastore is deleted.
