Change Protection Policy for a Volume Group
Use the procedure in this topic to change protection policy for a volume group.
Prerequisites
NOTE If members of the volume group have their own protection policy, the
Change Protection Policy option will be disabled. To enable the option, remove the protection policies from the members.
Steps
- Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
- Click .

Click
Storage Systems on the left side.
The Storage Systems page is displayed.

Click the
PowerStore storage system name from the
Storage Systems page.
The details for selected PowerStore storage system are displayed.

Click the
Volume Groups tab.
The details of all the volume groups are displayed.

Select the volume group for which you want to change the protection policy and click
More Actions drop down and select
Change Protection Policy.
The Change Protection Policy dialog box is displayed.NOTE You can also change a protection policy for a volume group in the Edit Volume Group dialog box.
- Change the protection policy and click SAVE.
