Apply Host Best Practices for PowerStore

Use the procedure in this topic to apply host best practices to PowerStore storage system.

1. Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
2. Click Menu > Hosts and Clusters.
3. Select a host, click Configure > Dell VSI > Host Best Practices. Click EDIT.
   The Host Best Practices for PowerStore modal is displayed.
4. Select a setting to set it to the best practice. Click SAVE.
   You can also apply the host best practices for a cluster. Right-click a cluster, click Dell VSI Actions > Apply Host Best Practices.

   NOTE If the host is PowerStore internal host, an error message Applying Host Best Practices is not avaliable on PowerStore internal host is displayed.

   NOTE Some Host Best Practice tasks do not complete when run on a cluster/folder/datacenter with more than 10 hosts. Recommend to distribute hosts into cluster/folder/datacenter which has less than 10 hosts.
   NOTE When applying host best practices for a cluster, there are no indicators for each of the settings. Select individual or all settings and click SAVE.
