View Snapshot Details

Learn how to view snapshot details in the storage details page and snapshot page.

Prerequisites

  • Snapshot must be created.

Steps

  1. Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
  2. Click Menu > Storage.
  3. Select the VMFS or NFS datastore, click Configure > Dell VSI > Storage.
  4. The Snapshots tab, displays the list of snapshots that are created on the datastore.
    1. Select the snapshot from the list of snapshots and click > to view the snapshot details.
      The Details tab displays the following information:
      For VMFS datastore:
      • Name
      • Type
      • Creation Time
      • Expiration Time
      • State
      • Application Consistent
      For NFS datastore:
      • Name
      • Description
      • State
      • Taken
      • Expiration Time
      • Auto-Delete
      • Taken by
      • Host IO Limit
      • Shared
      • Access Type
      • Last Refresh Time
      • Last Writable Time
      • Modified
      • Source
      • Thin Clone Count
      • Async Replicated
      • Sync Replicated
      • CLI ID
  5. To view the snapshot details in the Storage Details tab, scroll down to Snapshots card.
    The Snapshots card displays the snapshot schedule, number of snapshots and the number of snapshots that are attached to a host.
    NOTE You can click SCHEDULE to edit the snapshot schedule and click SAVE.
