Remove Host

Use the procedure in this topic to remove a host from PowerStore storage system.

Steps

  1. Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
  2. Click Menu > Dell VSI.
  3. Click Storage Systems on the left side.
    The Storage Systems page is displayed.
  4. Click the storage system name and click Hosts tab.
  5. Select the host that you want to remove, click X (Delete).
    The Remove Host wizard is displayed.
  6. Click REMOVE.
    To remove hosts in the host group and to unmap hosts from all volumes, select the following two checkboxes:
    • Hosts removed from a host group will be unmapped from all volumes and will no longer have access to them
    • Hosts removed from a host group will no longer be associated with the other hosts in the host group

    To remove the host group together with hosts, select the checkbox Remove the Host Group (Optional). To keep the host group clear the checkbox Remove the Host Group (Optional).

    NOTE To remove a host, it must not have any volume mapping.
