Register Unity Storage Pool
Use the procedure in this topic to register Unity storage pool to the VSI plug-in.
Prerequisites
- You cannot add Unity storage pool without registering Unity Storage System.
- Only storage owners can add storage pools from the particular owned Unity storage system
Steps
- Log in to VMware vSphere Client.
- Click .
- Click Storage Pools on the left side. The Storage Pools page is displayed and it displays all the registered Unity storage pools.
- Click + (add) icon, the Register Unity Pools dialog box is displayed.

In the
Storage Systems step, select the unity storage system to register its Unity pools to VSI. Click
NEXT.
NOTE You can select multiple Unity storage systems by selecting them from the list of storage system displayed.

In the
Select Unity pools step, select the Unity pool and click
NEXT.
NOTE You can select multiple Unity storage pools by selecting them from the list of storage pools displayed.
- In the Storage Access step, select the users or groups to give them access to the Unity storage pool. Click NEXT.
- In the Ready to Register step, review the Unity pools and storage access details and click FINISH.
