Edit Dell PowerMax Storage System

Use the procedure in this topic to edit the Dell PowerMax storage system.

Prerequisites

You must be the owner of the Dell PowerMax storage system.

Steps

  1. Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
  2. Click Menu > Dell VSI.
  3. Click Storage Systems on the left side.
    The Storage Systems page is displayed.
  4. Select the Dell PowerMax storage system, click the Edit (pencil) icon. The Edit Storage System Registration dialog box is displayed.
  5. You can modify the following properties:
    • Unisphere Host name/IP
    • Port
    • Unisphere Username
    • Unisphere Password
    • Managed by
      NOTE The user search option is provided in case there a lot of users and you are not able to find the user in the list.
  6. Click SAVE to save the changes.
    The progress of the modification is displayed in the Recent Tasks panel.
    NOTE A vCenter administrator can also perform edit storage system registration, but can only change the owner. If vCenters are in Linked Mode configuration, you must have vCenter administrator privileges across all vCenters to perform edit storage owner operation.
