Removing the fan shroud
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working on your computer.
- Remove the side cover.

The following images indicate the location of the fan duct and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Lay the computer with its right side facing down. Press on both securing clips to release the fan shroud from the fan and heat-sink assembly.
- Lift and remove the fan duct from the computer.
