Installing the memory

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.

Steps

  1. Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the memory-module slot.
  2. Insert the memory module into the memory-module slot.
  3. Press down on the memory module until the memory module snaps into position. Ensure that both securing clips are locked in place to secure the memory module.
  4. Repeat Steps 1 to 3 for the next memory module, if applicable.

Next steps

  1. Install the HDD and ODD cage.
  2. Install the 3.5-inch hard drive.
  3. Install the front cover.
  4. Install the left-side cover.
  5. Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.
