Removing the memory

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the left-side cover.
  3. Remove the front cover.
  4. Remove the 3.5-inch hard drive.
  5. Remove the HDD and ODD cage.

Steps

  1. Pull the securing-clips on each end of the memory-module slot down to release the memory module.
  2. Grasp the memory module in the middle, and then gently ease the memory module out of the memory-module slot.
  3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for the next memory module, if applicable.
