Removing the keyboard

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. To remove the keyboard:
    1. Release the keyboard by prying on the keyboard release tabs by using a scribe.

    2. Slide and lift the keyboard to access the keyboard connector cable under the keyboard [1,2].

  4. To remove the keyboard cable:
    1. Disconnect the keyboard cable from the system board [1].
    2. Lift the keyboard cable to remove it from the computer [2].
