Removing the power connector

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery
    2. optical drive
    3. keyboard
    4. base cover
    5. hard drive assembly
    6. optical drive
    7. WLAN card
    8. i/o board
    9. memory module
    10. coin cell battery
    11. heat sink
    12. system board
  3. To remove the power connector:
    1. Remove the black adhesive tape and unroute the power cable [1].
    2. Remove the screw that secures the power connector to the computer [2].
    3. Lift the power connector.
