Removing the Input Output board

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery
    2. optical drive
    3. keyboard
    4. base cover
  3. To remove the Input/Output board (I/O board):
    1. Remove the screw that secures the I/O board to the computer [1].
    2. Lift the I/O board [2].
    3. Turn the I/O board over to remove the black adhesive tape that secures the I/O board cable [3].
    4. Disconnect the I/O board cable [4, 5].
