Removing the heat sink fan cover

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. cover

    2. front bezel

    3. hard drive assembly

    4. optical drive

  3. Follow the steps to remove the heat sink fan cover:
    1. Pry the plastic notches that secure the fan cover in an outward direction [1].
    2. Remove the fan cover from the heat sink assembly.
