Removing the touchpad

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. Battery
    2. Optical drive
    3. Keyboard
    4. Base cover
    5. Hard drive assembly
    6. WLAN card
    7. Memory module
    8. Speaker
    9. Heat sink
    10. System fan
    11. System board
  3. Removing the screw support bracket.
    1. Remove the conductive tapes [1].
    2. Remove the three (M2x3) screws [2].
    3. Lift and remove the screw support bracket [3].
    Remove the screws
  4. Removing the touchpad board.
    1. Remove the four (M2x2) screws [1].
    2. Lift and remove the touchpad board [2].
    Remove the touch pad
