Removing the system board

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. Battery
   2. Optical drive
   3. Keyboard
   4. Base cover
   5. Hard drive assembly
   6. WLAN card
   7. Memory module
   8. Heat sink
   9. System fan
3. Remove 1 (M2.5x8) screw and lift the display hinge from the chassis [1, 2].
   
4. Lift the locking tab to disconnect the following cables
   1. remove the adhesive tape [1]
   2. lift the locking tab and disconnect the eDP connector [1]
   3. power connector [2]
   4. hard drive connector [3]
   5. fingerprint connector [4]
   6. I/O connector [5]
   7. touchpad connector [6]
   8. speaker [7]
   
5. Remove 2 (M2x3) screw that secures the system board to the computer [1] and lift the system board [2].
   
6. Flip the system board.
7. To remove the system board:
   1. Peel the white adhesive tape and disconnect the power cable [1].
   2. Remove the system board from the computer [2].
