Removing the palmrest

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. Battery
    2. Optical drive
    3. Keyboard
    4. Base cover
    5. Hard drive assembly
    6. Fingerprint reader
    7. WLAN card
    8. Memory module
    9. Heat sink
    10. System fan
    11. System board
    12. Input/Output boards
    13. Display assembly
    NOTE The component you are left with is the palmrest
  3. Remove the palmrest assembly away from the computer.
