Removing the optical drive

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the Battery.
  3. To remove the optical drive:
    1. Remove the M2x5 screw that secures the optical drive to the computer [1].
    2. Using a plastic scribe, push the tab in the direction of the arrow indicated on the chassis. [2].
    3. Slide the optical drive out of the computer [3].
