Removing the base cover

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. Battery
   2. Optical drive
   3. Keyboard
3. To remove the base cover:
   1. Disconnect the optical drive connector and lift it to remove it from the system board [1].
   2. Remove the 5 (M2x5) screws that secure the base cover [2].
   
4. Flip the computer and remove the screws (8 screws - M2.5x8; 3 screws - M2x2; 2 screws- M2x5) that secure the base cover to the computer.
   
5. To remove the base cover:
   1. Use a scribe to pry the edges of the base cover [1].
   2. Lift the base cover and remove it from the computer [2].
