Installing the heat sink

  1. Align the screws on the heat sink with the screw holders on the system board.
  2. Tighten the four captive screws to secure it to the system board.
    NOTE Secure the screws in the order of the callout numbers [1, 2, 3, 4].
  3. Install the:
    1. base cover
    2. keyboard
    3. optical drive
    4. battery
  4. Follow the procedures in After working inside your computer.
