Removing the power button with fingerprint reader

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. system fan
    4. display assembly
    5. Input output board
  3. To remove the power button with fingerprint reader:
    1. Remove the two (M2x3) screws that secure the power button to the palmrest and keyboard assembly [1].
    2. Peel the fingerprint reader cable and the fingerprint reader board from the palmrest and keyboard assembly [2].
    3. Lift the power button with fingerprint reader away from the palmrest and keyboard assembly. [3].
