Removing the system fan

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer
  2. Remove the SD card
  3. Remove the base cover
  4. Remove the battery
  5. Remove the hard drive assembly

Steps

  1. Disconnect the display cable [1] and system fan cable [2] from the system board.
  2. Unroute the display cable from the system board [3]

  3. Remove the two (M2x5) screws that secure the fan on to the plamrest and keyboard assembly and then lift the system fan off the system.
