Installing the speakers

CAUTION: The information in this section is intended for authorized service technicians only.

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

NOTE: If the rubber grommets are pushed out when removing the speakers, push them back in before replacing the speakers.

The following image indicates the location of the speakers and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.

Using the alignment posts and rubber grommets, place the speakers in the slots on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
NOTE: Ensure that the alignment posts are threaded through the rubber grommets on the speakers.
Route the speaker cable through the routing guide, along the bottom side of the M.2 solid-state drive and the system board, and then along the left side of the right speaker.
CAUTION: When routing the speaker cable adjacent to the left speaker, route it to the left of the battery screw hole at the bottom-right corner of the palm rest.
Adhere the tape to secure the speaker cable to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Connect the speaker cable to the connector on the system board.
