Removing the IO board
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the SD card.
- Remove the base cover.
- Disconnect the battery cable.

Steps
- [For models shipped with a fingerprint reader] : Disconnect the fingerprint reader to IO daughter board FFC and IO daughter board to system board FFC from the IO daughter board.
- [For models shipped without a fingerprint reader] : Disconnect the power button FFC, IO daughter board FFC, and display cable from the system board.
- Peel back the power button FFC and IO daughter board FFC from the palm rest.
- Remove the four (M2x4) screws that secure the IO board to the palmrest, and remove the IO board from the system.
- Disconnect and remove the power button FFC and IO daughter board FFC from the IO daughter board.
