Removing the display panel
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the battery.
- Remove the WLAN card.
- Remove the display assembly.
- Remove the display bezel.
The following image indicates the location of display panel and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
- Using a plastic scribe, slide out the pull tab of the SR tape from both sides of the display panel.
- Pull out a small section of the SR tape.
- Roll the SR tape around the plastic scribe.
NOTE: : To avoid severing/breaking the SR tape, pull out only a small section of the SR tape and then roll the SR tape around the scribe.
- Lift the display panel off the display back-cover.
- Peel the tape that secures the display cable to the display back-cover.
- Open the latch and disconnect the display cable from the display back-cover.
