Trusted Platform Module

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is a hardware component which is designed to securely store information such as credential or measurements. TPM 2.0 is enabled and supported with VMware ESXi 8.0 release. ESXi 6.7.x introduced the Host Attestation feature using which the validation of boot process can be reported to vCenter dashboard. TPM 2.0 is supported on yx3x and later PowerEdge servers including the latest AMD processors.
NOTE:Trusted Execution Technology (TXT) support with TPM 2.0 is enabled with 6.7 U1 release and later. TPM 1.2 is not supported on VMware ESXi 8.0. For more information, see VMware KB article https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2148536.
