Dell Trusted Device Installation and Administrator Guide v5.5

Secured Component Verification (On Cloud)

Secured Component Verification (On Cloud) is a supply-chain assurance offering that enables you to verify the integrity of the components inside your Dell computer. Trusted Device compares component details on your computer against an off-host certificate containing the unique system component IDs generated and signed by Dell during factory-assembly process. Secured Component Verification (On Cloud) verifies the following components:

  • Processor (CPU)
  • Trusted Platform Module (TPM)
  • Fixed Storage
  • Onboard Networking
  • Memory (RAM)
  • Motherboard
  • System Information

Trusted Device performs component verification after installation and on every startup. For each component, Trusted Device writes a timestamped pass or fail to the Windows Event Viewer. For additional information including types of events and event location, see Results, Troubleshooting, and Remediation. Add Secured Component Verification (On Cloud) at the time of purchase to use this feature

For server hardware, see the following link for Dell Secured Component Verification (On Device): https://www.dell.com/dt/solutions/openmanage/secure-component-authentication.htm

NOTE: Secured Component Verification (On Cloud) requires an enabled TPM.
