Setting Asset Tag
- Boot the system by using the DOS-Based Diagnostic
Tools (Dell 12G servers) option.
The Customer Diagnostic Menu Ver 1.6 is displayed.
- At the Enter option or letter prompt,
press 4.
The MS-DOS prompt is displayed.
- Type c:, and press Enter.
The working drive changes to c:\.
- Type CD Util, and press Enter.
The working directory changes to c:\Util.
- To change the Asset Tag, type asset new_asset_tag where new_asset_tag is the Asset Tag that you want to assign to the system.
- At the confirmation prompt, press y.
