Secure Connect Gateway allows you to save a backup of
secure connect gateway system settings through the
Backup configuration page. You can use this backup to restore a system after reinstallation of
secure connect gateway in case of a critical issue.
You can save the backup on a local system or on the network share. Recurring backup can be scheduled only with the network share option. The backup can be restored if the
secure connect gateway version and IP address of the system are the same.

Device credentials
SNMP v3 settings
Certificate details
Proxy Server details
Backup and restore configurations
Preferred contact and shipping details
LDAP, SMTP, Policy Manager, and adapter credentials
Credential vault API key
RSA SecurID certificate and access key required for two-factor authentication
Steps
Go to
Settings > Backup configuration.
To save the backup on the local system, select
Local system and click
Start backup.
You can download the .zip file to the local system after the backup is complete.
To save the backup on the network share, select
Network share and perform the following steps:
Enter the network location where you want to save the backup.
Enter the username, password, share type, and click
Check location.
NOTE:The supported share types are—CIFS, HTTPS, and SCP.
NOTE: If you selected
HTTPS as the share type and if you are an anonymous user, enter any username and password to configure the network share and backup your data.
The
Schedule recurring backup section is displayed if the entered location is valid.
To schedule recurring backups, select the frequency, days, time, and click
Schedule. If you do not want to schedule recurring backups, click
Skip and backup now.
The backup location and recurring backup information is displayed on the
Backup configuration page. You can also edit or delete the scheduled backup frequency.
