Secure Connect Gateway 5.x — Application Edition User's Guide

Secure connect gateway automatically checks for the following updates every Monday at 11:30 p.m. as per the date and time on your local system:

• Application updates—includes additional capabilities, protocol support, usability enhancements, and patches to fix existing issues.
• Policy file updates—optimizes alert and service request management policies as per the latest Dell definitions.
• Product support file updates—includes support to inventory and monitor new devices models and operating systems.
• Adapter updates—enables support for newer versions of OpenManage Enterprise adapter. It also helps secure connect gateway to inventory and monitor more device types and models from the system management consoles.

By default, the auto updates are enabled in secure connect gateway. If required, you can choose to disable this setting. If you disable the setting, secure connect gateway displays an update banner with information about the updates available. You can review and install the updates manually.
