Uploading VMware ESXi software bundle
You can upload the ESXi software bundle as a single .zip format file, from the RCM details page.
Steps
- Click .
- On the Compliance Versions page, select the RCM version for which you want to view and upload the ESXi software bundle.

On the right side of the
Compliance Versions page, click
View Details.
The RCM details page is displayed.
- Click the Software Bundles tab.

Select the ESXi version for which you want to upload the software bundle and click
View.
The ESXi software bundle details page is displayed.

Click
Upload Software Depot.
The Upload Software Depot window is displayed.
- Select the Download from local network path option as size of the files exceed 500 MB.
- Enter the path and user credentials to access the file on the local network drive.

Modify Compliance File to confirm the upload and click
Proceed.
After the software is upgraded, the modified icon is displayed next to the ESXi software version you selected for the upgrade. The upgraded version number and the modified icon are also displayed next to all the components that are upgraded in the ESXi bundle. On completion of the upgrade process, a "modified" folder is created in the shared network location. The folder contains the VIBs and zipped format of the software depot bundle.

Verify if all the upgraded files are present in the "modified" folder in the shared network location.
For RCM version 3.7.5, the supported VMware ESXi version is 7.Ou3 and for RCM version 3.8, the supported ESXi version is 8.0.2.
