Deploying and configuring the PowerFlex management platform VMs

Use this procedure to complete the steps needed to deploy the PowerFlex management platform cluster VMs.

Prerequisites

The PowerFlex management platform cluster requires three VMs to be deployed.

Steps

  1. Log in to the VMware vCSA.
  2. Click Menu > Shortcuts > Hosts and Clusters.
  3. Right-click the ESXi Host > Select Deploy OVF Template.
  4. Select Local File > Upload Files > Browse to the PowerFlex management platform OVA
  5. Click Open > Next.
  6. Enter pfmp-mvm-<number> for the VM name.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Verify that there are no compatibility warnings and click Next.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Review details and click Next.
  11. Select the datastore.
  12. Select Virtual disk format > Thin provision > Next.
  13. Select Desired Destination Network > OK > Next.
  14. Click Finish.
  15. Repeat the above for the three management VMs.
