Create a new VMFS datastore
Use this procedure to create a new virtual machine file system (VMFS) datastore.
Steps
- Log in to the VMware vCenter.
- Click and select the storage icon.
- Right-click the compute-only cluster and select .
- Click VMFS and click Next.

Enter the name of the datastore and select a host from the list.
Verify if you see a new NVMe TCP disk (eui.######).
- Select the NVMe TCP disk and click Next.
- Click VMFS 6 and click Next.
- Leave the default configuration unless instructed by the customer and click Next.
- Review the configuration and click Finish.
