Logging in to CLI

To log in to CLI, it is mandatory to have a server address and enter the username and password. The command options are:

  • server_address—(Mandatory) For other commands, the server_address is taken from the session file.
  • server_port—(Optional) Default value: PowerFlex Manager Default port: 443
  • session_name—(Optional) Default value is "default". It is a user-provided name for the session.
  • cert_file—(Mandatory) when you are logging in for the first time. However, it is possible to log in using a certificate that exists from a prior PowerFlex Manager session.

The CLI commands are derived from the RESTful API. For example:

  • Accessing help 
    powerflex_cli –help
  • Running a query 
    powerflex_cli alerts query --session_token de98deb6b9927fc5 --id "3af3ab8277783029"
