Upgrading ESXi-based configurations
This section describes how to upgrade when all PowerFlex components reside on ESXi-based nodes.
The upgrade uses the PowerFlex Installer (part of the PowerFlex Gateway), together with the LIA (on an SVM), to orchestrate the upgrade.
The MDM cluster can be extended from 3-node mode to 5-node mode after the system upgrade. For more information, see "Extend an existing PowerFlex system" in the Configure and Customize Dell PowerFlex.
