Upgrade Dell PowerFlex to v3.6.x

PDF

Upgrade the PowerFlex system

Now that SVM replacement is complete (if it was necessary), commence the upgrade of the PowerFlex system.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you have all the PowerFlex RHEL OL7 packages for the PowerFlex version currently installed in your system, and the latest PowerFlex v3.6 RHEL OLx packages.

Ensure that you know the media type (SSD or HDD) of the devices in the system's Storage Pools. You will need to supply this information during the upgrade process. This version of PowerFlex does not allow mixed device types in Storage Pools, so ensure that your Storage Pools are configured accordingly before you upgrade your system.

Ensure that you know the IP addresses and credentials for the PowerFlex Gateway, MDM and LIA.
