When upgrading a PowerFlex system with Stateless ESXI nodes, you must add the node IP addresses to the PowerFlex Gateway IP ignore list before upgrading.

Steps
- Edit gatewayUser.properties, located in /opt/emc/scaleio/gateway/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/classes/
- In the im.ip.ignore.list= section, add all the IP addresses of the Stateless nodes, comma-separated.
- Save the file.

PowerFlex Gateway service:
service scaleio-gateway restart
