SVM upgrade prerequisites

Verify the existence of OpenSSL packages and install them, if necessary. Increase SVM system disk size to 16 GB, as described in the Reference section of this guide.

About this task

NOTE:Do not run install commands if OpenSSL packages are already installed.

Steps

  1. To verify if there are already OpenSSL packages on the SVM, run the command: 
    rpm -qa |grep -i openssl
    Output similar to the following will be returned if OpenSSL exists: 
    openssl1-1.0.1g-0.40.1
libopenssl1_0_0-1.0.1g-0.40.1
  2. If OpenSSL packages are not installed, run the following commands to install them. 
    rpm -i libopenssl1_0_0-1.0.1g-0.40.1.x86_64.rpm
    rpm -i openssl1-1.0.1g-0.40.1.x86_64.rpm
  3. Increase SVM system disk size of all SVMs to 16 GB, as described in the Reference section of this guide.
