RHEL/CentOS upgrade to version 8.3
In cases where you are upgrading the operating system from RHEL/CentOS 8.0 to RHEL/CentOS 8.3 on a node containing preconfigure NVDIMMs (devdax devices), you are required to use the upgrade command for no dependencies.
About this task
NOTE:If you are upgrading multiple nodes, perform the following steps one node at a time.
Steps
- From the PowerFlex GUI, place the node into Protected Maintenance Mode and wait for the operating to complete.

From the system console, enter:
dnf upgrade --nobest
- Answer Yes to all questions that occur during the upgrade process.
- Wait for the upgrade process to complete, including the reboot, if required.

From the
PowerFlex GUI, remove the node from Protected Maintenance Mode.
Wait for the rebuild to complete.
- Check the upgrade log on the node to determine whether any packages require upgrading manually.
- Proceed to the next node, if relevant.
