ESXi upgrade prerequisites
Before upgrading the ESXi system to ESXi 7.x, ensure that the system meets the following prequisites:
- PowerFlex v3.5 or higher is installed on the system.
- The system is fully operational and includes an MDM cluster
- All SDSs and SDCs are connected
- The vCenter version matches the target ESXi version for this upgrade. For example, if you are upgrading the compute-only nodes to ESXi 7.0, vCenter needs to be at version 7.0.
- If an ESXi cluster is defined, DRS is configured correctly and the vMotion network is operational on all nodes.
Perform all operations in the PowerFlex GUI as an admin user.
