Configure Secure Remote Services or email notifications after upgrading

After the system upgrade, Secure Remote Services for remote support, or email notifications for alert monitoring, can be configured.

  • If Secure Remote Services or email notifications were not enabled for your system prior to the upgrade, or if you want to change the settings, edit the gatewayUser.properties file, and restart the gateway service, as described in "Customer support" in the "Post-deployment tasks" section of the Configure and Customize Dell PowerFlex.
  • If Secure Remote Services were enabled for your system prior to the upgrade, the feature will still be enabled after the upgrade. No further configurations are required.
NOTE:The property which controls Secure Remote Services in the gatewayUser.properties file was changed, and is now called features.notification_method. The flag value required for enabling Secure Remote Services was changed from true to srs. These are changed automatically during the upgrade process.
  • If running Secure Remote Services versions 3.40 or earlier upgrade to version 3.52 to enable continued connectivity and support for Secure Connect Gateway, as described in "Customer support" in the "Post-deployment tasks" section of the Configure and Customize Dell PowerFlex.
