Register PowerFlex system to SRS or SCG

Configure communications between the gateway and Secure Remote Services (SRS) or Secure Connect Gateway (SCG), which is not automatically configured following deployment. Use the PowerFlex Installer, which is the gateway's user interface, to perform the configuration.

Steps

  1. From a web browser, enter the IP address of the PowerFlex Gateway, and log in to the PowerFlex Installer.
    The PowerFlex Installer login page is displayed.
  2. Enter the username and password and click Login.
  3. On the Maintain tab, enter the following information:
    1. Primary MDM IP address.
    2. MDM admin username and password.
    3. LIA authentication type.
    4. LIA password
  4. Click Retrieve system topology.
  5. On the Maintain tab, click System Logs & Analysis > Register PowerFlex system to SRS.
  6. In the Register PowerFlex system to SRS dialog box, define the connection information for the SRS server:
    1. MDM admin password.
    2. SRS server address.
    3. Dell or Partner NT username and RSA token, to register the system with the SRS service.
    4. PowerFlex Gateway IP address.
  7. Click the Register to SRS button to complete the registration.
    NOTE:When registering for the first time, click the Approve Certification message to complete the process. After approving the certification repeat steps five to seven.

Results

The PowerFlex system is registered to SRS and will start communicating any issues that are detected.
