Configure the PowerFlex presentation server

Configure or change settings for the PowerFlex presentation server.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you have access credentials for the node on which the PowerFlex presentation server is installed.

About this task

PowerFlex presentation server configurations can be modified either by configuring a file, or by configuring operating system environment variables. If the environmental variables option is used, anything configured via the configuration file will be overridden.

The following items can be configured for the PowerFlex presentation server. The values shown for each one are the default values.

  • Network
    • backend.httpd.httpsPort = 8443

Port for the user to connect to the system using a browser

    • backend.httpd.httpRedirect = false

If set to true, every HTTP request on the configured ports will be automatically redirected to HTTPS on the port configured with the backend.httpd.httpsPort property.

    • backend.httpd.secondaryHttpPort = 0

The system admin can configure a secondary HTTP port that will also be redirected to the HTTPS port via the redirect property. This option allows the system admin to configure HTTP redirection with two different ports. For example, HTTP : 80 → HTTPS → 443. If the value is set to zero, the property will be ignored.

    • backend.sessions.tokenLifeSpanMinutes = 10

Controls the number of minutes without activity in the browser before the PowerFlex presentation server automatically logs out the inactive user

  • Certificates
    • PowerFlex presentation server backend
      • backend.httpd.keyManagerPassword = 123456

Key manager password of PowerFlex presentation server KeyStore

      • backend.httpd.keystorePassword = 123456

Key store password of presentation server KeyStore

      • backend.httpd.keystoreResource = keystore.jks

Key store file name of presentation server KeyStore

    • MDM connection
      • backend.mdmKeystoreFileName = mdm-truststore.jks

Key store file name of MDM truststore for CA certificate connection

      • backend.mdmKeystorePassword = changeit

Key store password of MDM truststore for CA certificate connection

  • Debug Log Level
  • Automatic Link
    • backend.autolink.retryInterval = 5000

Automatic link process interval between retries

    • backend.autolink.numOfRetries = 5

Automatic link process number of retries

  • Sliding window for the sdsDisconnectsFrequently and mdmFailsOverFrequently alerts
    • backend.disconnections.alerts.cleanupIntervalMillis = 1000

      Interval for cleaning old disconnections

    • backend.disconnections.alerts.windowSizeMillis = 60000

      Window size to accumulate disconnections
