Use the procedure to verify DNS on a Linux-based PowerFlex node.

Steps

  1. SSH to the Linux-based PowerFlex node.
  2. Type the following: nslookup <FQDN>.
    Example output:
    pfmp-mvm-01:~ nslookup pfmp-mvm-01.example.com
    Server:         10.10.105.240
    Address:        10.10.105.240:53
    
    Name:   pfmp-mvm-01.example.com
    Address: 10.10.105.30
    
    pfmp-mvm-01:~
  3. Type the following: nslookup <IP address>.
    Example output:
    pfmp-mvm-01:~ nslookup 10.10.105.30
    Server:         10.10.105.240
    Address:        10.10.105.240:53
    
    123.123.123.45.in-addr.arpa      name = pfmp-mvm-01.example.com
    
    pfmp-mvm-01:~
