Alert default and advanced fields

The alert default and advanced fields are as follows:

Field Description Example
Timestamp The UTC date and time that the alert was initially raised, in ISO 8601 format.

Severity A predefined severity level that is associated with an alert. MAJOR
Subsystem A resource domain that identifies the area that the alert relates to. The resource domains are:
  • Management
  • Block
  • File
  • Compute
  • Network
  • Security
BLOCK
Resource type The type of resource that is associated with the alert. this is usually the resource that is involved with raising the event. block-config
Resource ID The ID of the resource that is associated with the alert. 358A2108
Resource name The name of the resource that is associated with the alert. This is usually the resource that is involved with raising the event. powerflex_trial
Alert ID A unique identifier specific to the alert instance that is always 16 digits. B46b66c8c79e4a2a
Alert name An alphanumeric descriptive name for the alert that is unique. FIRST_UNLICENSED_ALERT_THRESHOLD
Code A unique alert code that is always eight digits and identifies a specific alert. 20300098
Description A message that describes the alert. The system is using a trial license which will expire in 3 days, please install a valid license soon.
Acknowledged status The acknowledged status indicates whether the alert is acknowledged or unacknowledged. false
Last updated The UTC date and time that the alert was last updated, in ISO 8601 format.

Update includes raising or clearing the alert, or increasing or decreasing its severity.
