Roll back deployment using the vSphere
PowerFlex plug-in
In VMware environments where deployment fails due to incorrect input or failed devices, you can roll back the deployment, fix or change the specific deployment setting, and restart deployment using the vSphere
PowerFlex plug-in deployment wizard.
Steps
When deployment fails, click
Cancel and roll back entire deployment.
In the
Rollback settings dialog box, select whether you want to remove the SDC configuration.
If you select
Remove SDCs configuration (requires a manual restart of the ESXis), the SVMs are deleted, the SDC MDM IP address configurations are removed from the ESXis, and you must manually restart the ESXis.
If you do not select
Remove SDCs configuration (requires a manual restart of the ESXis), the SVMs are deleted, the SDC MDM IP address configurations are not removed from the ESXis, and you do not need to manually restart the ESXis.
When the deployment roll back is complete, select
Finish deployment and return to wizard.
If you select
Finish, you will not be returned to the wizard and you will have to start the deployment from the beginning; your deployment details will not be saved. After confirming that you want to finish the deployment and return to the wizard, the last screen in the deployment wizard is displayed.
Click
Back or
Next to navigate backwards or forwards through the deployment wizard.
Change the settings that caused the initial deployment to fail.
Click
Finish to finish using the wizard and to begin deployment.
