Removing the Liquid Cooler Heatsink (Optional)

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. left cover

    2. memory shroud (center)
  3. Press firmly on the heatsink and rotate anti-clockwise. Figure displaying rotating the heatsink anti-clockwise.
  4. Remove the heatsink fan cable from the system board. Figure displaying removing the heatsink fan cable.
  5. Lift the liquid cooler heatsink and remove it from the computer. Figure displaying the removal of heatsink.
  6. Remove the screws that secure the heatsink bracket and remove the bracket away from the system board. Figure displaying removal of heatsink bracket.
