Removing the Heatsink Fan

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
  2. Remove:
    1. computer cover
    2. optical drive (Required only for the removal of heatsink for CPU1)
    3. heatsink assembly
  3. Slide out the grommets that secure the heatsink fan to the heatsink assembly.
