Removing the system fan
- Follow the procedure in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
- Remove the cover.
- To remove the system fan:
- Disconnect the system fan cable from the system board [1].
- Stretch the grommets securing the fan to the computer to ease the removal of the fan [2].
- Slide and lift the system fan from the computer [3].
